Detailed description of Fox Run Country Club
Fox Run Country Club is a semi-private 18-hole golf course located in Simpsonville, South Carolina.
The course first opened for play in 1956 as The Simpsonville-Fountain Inn Country Club.
The course is scenic as well as secluded. The most difficult hole is #8, a 447-yard, par 4, requiring an extremely long uphill tee shot over water, then an uphill approach shot to an elevated green. There are no homes on the course. The golf course features 6,556 yards of traditional golf from "the tips" with a par of 72. There are four sets of tees certain to satifsy every ability of golfer. The USGA Course Rating is 71.3with a slope rating of 130.

Gold Tees: par72, 5,311 yards, 66.1 / 117
Red Tees: par72, 5,050 yards, 69.4 / 116

Maybe to play as a guest but not as a member. There is a reason why membershipp has dropped below 300, and it is not the economy. Will miss the Golf Course, where I have been a member for 19 years, but that is all I will miss about it. Good luck to Barry znd the rest of the grounds crew, but the rest of the staff can.......well... I could not care less about. Ruined the best membership in the state! Thank you for that!
